Read a document about American Indian Boarding Schools and watch a PBS video about them. Create a short PowerPoint or Prezi presentation that addresses the following: A. What were the intentions of these policies regarding Native Americans in boarding schools, and what have been the outcomes of these policies?; B.  Now, thinking of the educational system today, to what degree should it emphasize assimilation to American culture, and to what degree should it emphasize cultural diversity?; C.  What are the advantages and disadvantages of both approaches? Note that the information presented should be the form of short statements or bullet points.
