Project Desciption

Students will select a zoonosis using the World Health Organization (WHO) One Health resources at: http://www.who.int/zoonoses/diseases/en/

They will then answer both of the following questions with at least 250 words and include at least 1 scholarly and 1 biblical reference.

One Health works in various areas such as: food safety, the control of zoonoses, and combatting antibiotic resistance. Many of the same microbes infect animals and humans, as they share the eco-systems they live in. It is important to understand how all these ties together especially in the increasingly globalized world context.

Select a zoonosis and answer these questions

1. Describe the connection among human, animal, and ecosystem health as it relates to this disease.
2. Explain how is globalization affecting the transmission rates and rates of this disease globally?
